Cyrus Paul: A Cinematic Journey from LA to Madrid

Cyrus Paul is a music artist whose career has been shaped by a deep passion for composition and storytelling through sound. For the past nine years, he has been creating music for film, theater, television, video games, and albums, bringing a cinematic quality to his work. After spending 12 years in Los Angeles, where he collaborated with renowned producers and recorded in legendary studios like Capitol Records, Cyrus recently moved to Madrid to continue his artistic journey.

His musical foundation began with flamenco guitar, a craft he started as a child, but it was Led Zeppelin’s How the West Was Won live album that set him on the path to pursuing music seriously. Initially influenced by 70s rock, Cyrus eventually expanded his tastes to encompass a broad range of genres, realizing that to truly express himself, he needed to not only play but also produce and compose.

For Cyrus, inspiration comes from a place of authenticity. His songwriting process is fueled by music that resonates with his current state of mind, and he channels these emotions into his compositions. Whether recording in iconic studios or a friend’s bedroom at 3 AM, he believes that if you can capture magic in a space, it can be called a recording studio.

Currently, Cyrus is working on a series of singles, including a track that mixes psychedelic rock with Spanish influences and is sung in Tagalog—a blend he believes is so unique, it’s bound to make waves.

To his fans, Cyrus says, “Thank you for giving me the most precious thing you hold, your time.”

And of course, “Hi mom, I’m in a magazine! ;)”

Stay tuned for what’s next from Cyrus Paul!
